UK Pledges to Hit All-Renewable Electricity by 2035

Manchester, England (AP) – All British electricity will come from renewable sources in 2035, conservatives announced Monday, saying the move will help end the dependence of the country on imported fuel.

Kwarteng’s business and energy secretary Kwarteng said “The only way to strengthen English energy security is zero carbon power produced in this country.”

Prime Minister Boris Johnson also said he believed that UK. Can get “complete clean energy production” – including renewable sources and nuclear power – in the middle of the next decade.

England gets most of his energy from renewable sources such as wind and sun, and most have ended the use of coal power, but remains very dependent on natural gas. The price of gas that jumped throughout the world pushed energy bills for millions of people in the UK.

“The advantage of it is that it will mean that, for the first time, England does not depend on hydrocarbons coming from abroad, with all oddities in the price of hydrocarbons and risks posing for people’s pockets,” Johnson said in Manchester, where the conservative Organizing their annual conference.

Johnson really wants to burn England’s green credentials before the climate meeting u.n. which will open in Glasgow, Scotland, in October. Johnson, as the host, strives to get other world leaders to increase the promise of their carbon cutting so that the world can maintain global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial level.

Doug Parr, head of scientist at Greenpeace U.K., welcomed what he called the awareness of the British government “that the gas needed to be removed from the electrical system,” but said he was disappointed with sustainable commitment to nuclear energy.
