British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his womanAkshata Murty, whose father N R Narayana Murthyco-founded Indian IT major Infosys have made their debut on the UK’s’ Asian Rich List 2022′.They’re ranked 17th on the list, with an estimated wealth of 790 million pounds, news agency PTI reported.
Sunak, 42, took pledge as the high minister on October 25. He’s the first Indian- origin person to lead the UK, the firstnon-white, person of colour to come the UK’s PM, at the age of 42, he’s also the youthful person to take the office in further than 200 times, as well as the first PM to take pledge under the new King Charles III.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Oliver Dowden, MP, Chancellor of Dutchy of Lancaster, said” Every time, we see the British Asian Community continue to grow in elevation which comes as no surprise to me tête-à-tête.”
Throughout my life, I’ve seen first hand the hard work, determination and entrepreneurship of the British Asian community. And, of course, in my rearmost job, I’ve a British Asian Boss, my veritably good friend Mr Rishi Sunak, the United Kingdom’s first- ever British Asian Prime Minister,” Dowden said.
The Hinduja family tops the list for the eighth time in a row, with an estimated worth of30.5 billion pounds, up three billion pounds from the former time. Hinduja Group is an Indian international empire. The group is present in eleven sectors.
London mayor Sadiq Khan presented a dupe of the’ Asian Rich List 2022′ to Ritu Chhabria, son of Gopichand Hinduja,Co-Chairman of the Hinduja Group at the 24th periodic Asian Business Awards at the Westminster Park Plaza hostel on Wednesday night.This time’s Asian Rich list boasts of 16 billionaires from the UK, one further than the last time with utmost of the billionaires seeing their wealth increase or stay the same as last time.
Sri Prakash Lohia and family have seen the biggest increase in wealth on this time’s list, a rise of 4 billion pounds to8.8 billion pounds.Lakshmi Mittal and his son Aditya(12.8 billion pounds) and Prakash Lohia and family(8.8 billion pounds) and Nirmal Sethia(6.5 billion pounds) are other richest on the list.
