At the recent Times LitFest session in Mumbai, actor Kabir Bedi was speaking about his memoir ‘Stories i need to Tell’ with author Meghna Pant. During the interaction, a member of the audience posed an issue to Bedi about his insights within the book on psychological state and praised Bedi’s knowledge and understanding of psychological state afflictions. to the present observation, Bedi recalled his turbulent times with Parveen Babi and his late son Siddharth. He said, “In the chapter on my son, I went into the difficulty of psychological state thorough . But it’s actually the story of a father trying to stop his son from committing suicide.”
The audience could see that Bedi was holding back his emotions as he further said, “It moves people to tears but I had to stay unmoved while writing it, as I relieved the items I had made peace with. I had to reopen those scars to write down about how things panned out. My book isn’t written as a series of lessons–that might be another book–it is that the reality of what happened Despite the heavy-duty emotions at hand, Bedi was at his affable best as he added, “I wanted my readers to be thrilled while reading it. the trouble wasn’t to possess any heavy debates on the difficulty but it’s a microscope on a drag that’s seldom spoken or discussed because i used to be willing to share my vulnerability, pain, and knowledge . That’s how those chapters happened .”
