The Taliban said on Tuesday the war in Afghanistan ended and that all their opponents would be forgiven, because they held their first press conference since seizing power from the west-supported government in Kabul.
“The war has ended … (the leader) has forgiven everyone,” said Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, added: “We are committed to allowing women to work in accordance with Islamic principles.”
Taliban on Tuesday stated that there was no threat to be submitted to any country from Afghanistan when the group took over a torn country with conflict after the collapse of democratic government with the departure of most Western troops.
“The Islamic Emirate promised throughout the world that there was no threat to be submitted to any country from Afghanistan,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters at their first press conference in Kabul where he announced the Islamic government immediately established in Afghanistan.
The Taliban news conference came when the United States and Western Allies evacuated diplomats and civilians a day after the scene of chaos at Kabul Airport when Afghanistan was desperate to escape the Taliban that attacked the terminal.
