Remo D’Souza gave an enormous shout bent wife Lizelle on Sunday for her massive weight loss transformation. “It takes tons of diligence to urge there, but the most important battle is with yourself and that i have seen Lizelle D’Souza fighting that battle and achieving what was impossible,” Remo had expressed while sharing an image of his wife’s impressive makeover. In an exclusive interaction with ETimes, Lizelle D’Souza chronicles her inspirational weight loss journey. Excerpts:
In December 2018 i made a decision that it had been time I took things in my hands. I immediately messaged my trainer Praveen Nair and said that till you don’t make me reduce , i will be able to not accept that you simply are the simplest trainer. So, in January 2019, he started me off with intermittent fasting. Since i used to be travelling to London for the shoot of ‘Street Dancer’, i used to be dieting on the go and went off carbs too. I followed that for 15 hours and pushed it to 16 hours. Prashant’s wife Mehek was accompanying Shraddha (Kapoor), so she kept an in depth eye on my food. within the first year, I lost around 15-20 kilos.
In June, we started pushing with weight training and diet. People started noticing a serious change in my weight post June. Luckily we’ve a gym found out reception so i used to be understanding during lockdown, too. i used to be weight training, doing intermittent fasting and eating all home-made food. Remo and that i made it some extent to require evening walks in our building compound. I pushed my intermittent fasting to 18-20 hours and would eat one meal each day . As for my cheat days, most are scared about it because they’re sort of a feast on behalf of me . I don’t binge on pizzas and burgers but i’m more for chaat, paani-puri and sindhi kadhi. I also do a Keto cheat wherein I involve a Keto ice-cream or a Keto pizza.
A lot of individuals advised me against my diet, everyone features a different perspective. But I feel it’s all about how your body reacts. I even have realised during this journey that folks make tons of mistakes by combining everything together. After Remo fell ill last year, I too went off Keto, i assumed of doing a diet , a calorie deficient diet and tried everything. you can’t diet for 3 months then leave, albeit I had made an equivalent mistakes, i do know the way to handle it now. and that i think Keto works the simplest . it’s high fat but my intake is thru Greek yoghurt, avocado and that i drastically lost 8-9 kilos. Altogether I managed to travel from 105 to 65 kilos.

After Remo fell sick last year, I placed on six kilos but now i do know that I can lose them. i feel after Remo’s heart thing everyone was like, ‘you do Keto, it’s high end fat’, even after the vaccine people started scaring me, ‘the blood thickens and thereupon you’re doing a Keto diet’, so I went a touch easy. it’s just that with Covid and every one , everyone has been behind my back to not diet. Also, your body gives you signals if something isn’t going right. i used to be getting a couple of vertigo issues, so i assumed maybe it’s due to my strict diet. So I went slow, for Ganpati too, I took an opportunity for 3 days.
Remo knows that i’m a really headstrong person, it had been almost me realizing that now it’s to be done. So for me, losing weight was more of a challenge and that i embraced it. In 2018, I visited Dr Muffi (Muffazal Lakdawala) in 2018 for a bariatric surgery for weight loss. on the other hand i made a decision to not do surgery but choose a gastric balloon, but the doctor told me that i will be able to gain back the load . At that point my close friend, who was accompanying me, advised against it and that i made up my mind to reduce . I even have had two caesareans and that i know i will be able to not return to what i used to be before. I even have a target to lose another 10 kilos by December, post that, I decide to choose abdominoplasty and Remo is supporting me, my kids are supporting me.
