Google has made it easier for you to spot and fix echo in Meet video calls, which may happen when a system feeds back audio into a call.
While Google Meet intelligently controls the audio to get rid of the echo in video calls, sometimes it still happens and causes others to listen to an echo from your device once they speak.
Previously, it had been difficult for you to understand when your device is causing an echo. Now, Google will notify you when a notable echo is detected from your system which can be heard by other call participants with a red dot on the more options button at rock bottom , along side a text notification. If you click on the notification, there are troubleshooting steps – like using headphones, reducing the quantity of the speaker or muting yourself when not speaking during a video call – you’ll take which could help reduce the echo.
For end-users, the feature are going to be ON by default.
The new feature is gradually rolling bent both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains and should take up to fifteen days to be fully visible. it’s available to all or any Google Workspace customers, also as G Suite Basic and Business customers.
