Washington: Senate A.S. On Tuesday unanimously passed the resolution that condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin as a war criminal, a rare performance of the unity in the very divided congress.
Resolution, which was introduced by the Senator Republic of Lindsey Graham and was supported by senators from both parties, encouraging the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague and other countries to target the Russian military in the investigation of war crimes in Ukraine conducted during the Russian invasion.
We are all in this room joining together, with Democrats and Republicans, to say that Vladimir Putin cannot avoid accountability for the cruelty committed against the people of Ukraine,” said the majority leader of the Democratic Senate Chuck Schumer in a speech on the Senate floor in front of Select.
Russia called her actions as “special military operations” for demilitarization and “anchor” Ukraine. Putin also called the country a US colony with a doll regime and no independent state tradition.
Moscow has not arrested one of the 10 largest cities in the country after his attack which began on February 24, the biggest attack on European countries since 1945.
