US Issues ‘Level One’ Travel Health Notice For India

Washington The top US health body has issued a”Level One”COVID-19 notice for Americans travelling to India, saying the threat of contracting the infection and developing severe symptoms may be lower if one is completely vaccinated.
Independently, the US State Department issued Level Two and Three trip advisories for India and Pakistan, saying while citizens are prompted to review trip to Pakistan due to terrorism and insular violence, those going to India must exercise increased caution due to crime and terrorism.

The State Department also prompted US citizens not to travel to Jammu and Kashmir due to terrorism and civil uneasiness, and also within 10 kilometres of the India-Pakistan border due to the eventuality for fortified conflict.

The new trip premonitory issued on Monday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of”Level One”which is considered safe came in the wake of the significant enhancement in the Covid-19 situation in India.

The CDC in its health trip notice”Level One” said,”Your threat of constricting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you’re completely vaccinated with an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) authorised vaccine.”

Make sure you’re completely vaccinated before travelling to India. Trippers should follow recommendations or conditions in India, including wearing a mask and staying 6 bases piecemeal from others, the health notice said.

India on Monday recorded the smallest diurnal COVID-19 cases in the country in 287 days. India logged new coronavirus infections, taking the country’s census of COVID-19 cases to, while the active cases settled at, the smallest in 525 days, according to the Union Health Ministry data streamlined on Tuesday.
