US President Joe Biden on Monday promised to give advanced air defense systems to Ukraine after Russian dumdums rained down on the capital Kyiv and other metropolises, the White House said in a statement.
Biden spoke to President Volodymyr Zelensky and” pledged to continue furnishing Ukraine with the support demanded to defend itself, including advanced air defense systems,” the statement said.Russian President Vladimir
Putin has hovered more” severe” attacks against Ukraine after the biggest surge of strikes in months killed at least 11 in retribution for an explosion that damaged a crucial ground linking Russia to the Moscow- adjoined Crimean promontory.After speaking with Biden, Zelensky twittered that” air defense is presently the number 1 precedence in our defense cooperation.”
Kyiv said Russian forces had fired further than 80 dumdums on metropolises across the country and that Russia had also used Iranian drones launched from neighbouring Belarus.
Biden” conveyed his condolences to the loved bonesof those killed and injured in these senseless attacks,” the White House said.
He also underlined his ongoing engagement with abettors and mates to continue assessing costs on Russia( and) holding Russia responsible for its war crimes and atrocities.”
