Kabul Gurdwara attack: Taliban fighters tried to protect temple for 3 hours, says IS

The Khorasan Province of the Islamic State (ISKP), while claiming the responsibility of the attack targeting Gurdwara in Kabul, said that they were led by Inghimasi Abu Mohammad al-Tajiki. Militants struggled for more than three hours with Taliban fighters who tried to intervene to protect the temple, targeting them with four explosives and car bombs, the militant group said in an affiliated telegram channel.

The feared terror group said one of his fighters “penetrated a temple for Hindu and Sikh Politeist” in Kabul, after killing the guards, and fired on the worshipers inside with the machine gun and his hand grenade.

Some explosions tore Gurdwara Karte Parwan in the Bagh-E Kabul environment on Saturdays while Afghan security personnel frustrated a larger tragedy by stopping vehicles that were laden with explosions from reaching a minority community worship site in a country that was struck by war.
