WHO Tells Ukraine To Destroy Pathogens In Health Labs In Case They Are Bombed

The World Health Organization suggests Ukraine to destroy the pathogens of high threats that are housed in the state health laboratory to prevent “any potential pittry” that will spread diseases between the population, the agency said to Reuters on Thursday.
Biosecurity experts say the movement of the Russian troops to Ukraine and bombing of its cities has increased the risk of runogen runaway causes of disease, if there are damaged facilities.

Like many other countries, Ukraine has a public health laboratory that examines how to reduce the threat of dangerous diseases that affect animals and humans including, the latest, Covid-19. The laboratory has received support from the United States, the European Union and WHO.

Responding to the questions from Reuters about his work with Ukraine in front and during the Russian invasion, WHO said in the email that has collaborated with the Ukrainian Public Health Laboratory for several years to promote security practices that help “release of unintentional or intentional or intentional or intentional.”

As part of this work, which highly recommends to the Ministry of Health in Ukraine and other responsible agencies to destroy high poison pathogens to prevent potential spills,” WHO said, a UN agency.

Who will not say when it makes recommendations also do not provide specifics about the type of pathogen or poisons placed in the Ukrainian laboratory. The agency also did not answer the question of whether the recommendation was followed.

Ukrainian officials in Kyiv and at their embassy in Washington did not respond to a comment request.

The ability of the Ukrainian laboratory is in the center of the information war that has developed since Russia began to move troops to Ukraine two weeks ago.

On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova repeated the old claim that the United States operated the Laboratory of Biowarfare in Ukraine, a charges that had been repeatedly rejected by Washington and Kyiv.
